ABOUT THE ARTIST

After attending the American Artists' Academy, Chris Cox went on to paint T-shirts and leather jackets for promoting bands such as Motley Crue, Pantera, Warrant, and Sisters of Mercy. This lead to jobs painting motorcycles, which Chris did for many years, receiving several trophies for the paint-work on the bikes. His detail work was featured in both VQ magazine and Harley Woman magazine.

Chris rented a studio in the Flat Iron Arts Building in the spring of 2000. He pursued water-colors, oil painting and ink painting. The series of oil paintings (many featured on this site) include several depictions of city-scapes, while the water-colors focussed mainly on nature-based landscapes.
