- CHICAGO ARTISTS’ COLLECTIVE presents the second to last show in our current fabulous location, "HARVEST", a BEST WORKS RETROSPECTIVE of our little but mighty collective. Featuring collective founder E.K. Buckley's oils, sketches and TAROT DECK SERIES marking 6 years in Chicago from Uptown to Wicker Park's Flat Iron to Pilsen, the seductive figurative collage and puppets by Northsider Clara Batton Smith, languid and haunting figurative paintings by Zsofia Otvos, the striking figurative paintings and drawings of Sally Hughes, the much sought after [wired] Jewelry by Melissa Kolbusz (curated for Millenium Parks last fashion gala Chicago is RED HOT), crystal faceted skulls by the meticulous K.C. Welch, the sardonic and charming figurative myth-scapes of David Simpson in acrylic and guache, austere landscape and form paintings by new Pilsen neighbor David Moskow, the erotic and potent dance ritual by Burlesque Goddess, CHERISH, from Chicago Burlesque & Vaudeville (and her very very large boa constrictor) at 9pm sharp, small paintings and wood carvings by the artist that aliens dropped off in Wisconsin 42 years ago, Dave Pearson, hill-billy fiddler and gypsy lover Jason Loveall to perform opening night (Sept 10) and through the Open House (Oct 1-2-3), a cumulative multi-media piece regarding the word "Harvest" by international art collective "The Lost Tribe", guest accessory designer Beata Wajdeman of "TEN 28" to exhibit her new lines of jewelry, paintings by guest Detroit artist Chad P. Hunt, the gorgeous oil abstractions of line, form and color by Las Manos resident painter and artist David de Castro, Iconoclast Theater Project performance SEVEN SISTERS (9:30p opening night) and artist Ned Broderick's fearsome large scale oils.
