- The DEVIL: Chicago Artists' Collective (CHARCOLL) group show "The Devil" features "I am what I am" and other large format oil paintings along with recent experimental photography by founding member of the new Pilsen Photo Collective, Ned Broderick, a tribute to the Devil and his kind by industrial accessory designer Melissa Kolbusz [wired] with a line exclusively for men, the recent series: "Why is the Devil always a girl?" by hit and run photographer Carlos Canario, a premiere of evil evil paintings and wrong minded, compulsive crystal-faceted skulls by K.C. Welch, the gates of hell forged with care and skill by local cult/art collective, The Lost Tribe, a North American premiere of an interpretive dance banned in the Netherlands inspired by MC Chris by sculptor Kenneth Morrison (sponsored by Bubba & Skeeter's Art Garage), drawings, oils and the new installation inspired by the Sermon on the Mount: "Windows into Hell" by E.K. Buckley, a juxtaposition of evil and good with "Seven Deadly Sins" and a collage inspired by traditional biblical wedding passages of the South by Clara Batton Smith, figurative paintings just finished for the devil by Zsofia Otvos, a collage of digital photographs that occasionally include digital drawings that were inspired from her childhood in Missouri/Misery -- titled, "The Devil and His Advocates" by Kimberly Aubuchon, a hidden bit of evil in the latest work by David Moskow, paintings from the dark vision of CHARCOLL newcomer, Kevin Moeller, and guest artists to be necromanced.

GUIDED TOUR of the alt galleries in the Chicago Arts District begins at the Arts District Warehouse, 1826 S. Halsted, @ 7pm. Leading the tour is CHARCOLL artists Clara Batton Smith and the Chicago Arts District coordinator, Cynthia West.
The show is presented in the dynamic Chicago Arts District Warehouse, a 6000 square foot loft overlooking Halsted St. and award winning gardens.
